Profile

sophieMy name is Sophie Theunissen. After studying Latin & English at Oxford, I trained in factual television where I produced documentaries. I learnt how to run complex content-based projects and honed my editorial skills on a huge range of projects. Amongst other things, I directed Eddie Izzard in a series about English identity and ran the first real Roman Chariot Race for 1500 years.

I moved into digital in 2006 to run the video production unit at Videojug, where I set up the systems to commission and produce 1000’s of short factual videos. I became fascinated by online publishing and the new ways you could reach out to an audience and the conversations and relationships you could have.

I went on to work in-house and as a consultant on strategy, content & video for a range of sites, from government-funded forums for grandparents to pay-per-view sites for business-schools and multi-national, multi-pltatform digital projects for broadcasters.

I have two small children and live in East London. You can see my full CV on linkedin or look at some of my previous work.
